The Structure and Activity of a Core Team

The core team must be structured and fit into the structure of the congregation. A core team must have the following elements:

  1.  Identifiable leadership
    • A core team captain.
    • A board representative.
    • Representatives on task forces and/or committees.
  2. Members
    • A list of names that are invited to each meeting
  3. A monthly meeting place and time.

In addition, a core team must get its activity (meeting times, actions, etc.) publicized in the bulletin, on the churches calendar and/or in the churches newsletter.

Finally, it must be part of the congregation's budget.
