The faith communities various core teams continue the many relationships/commitments within the interconnected Manitowoc web –that is the service with love that their individual values already called them to lift up.  These include, HOPE House, The Haven, Salvation Army Circles of Support, adopt a park & recycling, after school tutoring, teaching ESL, Mental Health Advocacy Committee of Healthiest Manitowoc County and the Human Resource Council of Manitowoc County.

We offer a grateful thank you to St. James Episcopal, First Lutheran, Emanuel Church and United Methodist Women of the WI Conference of the United Methodist Church for welcoming our speakers, events and meetings in their faith homes.

RUTH visits to Madison

  • December 2014 11  X  15 Blueprint for Ending Mass Incarceration
began with a press conference in the State Capital then legislative visits and issue development planning and strategy over lunch with colleagues.
  • April 2015 Madison Action Day
with WI Council of Churches and allies. Ms H. Rosenthal, and Rev. Everett Mitchell led our day to discuss, pray and advocate as the new legislature started work on the state budget.
  • November 2015    R.O.C Wisconsin Campaign
As with most issues, when justice is the goal, the year will end with much more to achieve.  A prayer service at the Department of Corrections Madison office began the day for this renamed campaign, followed by legislative visits, informational presentations and a press conference.  The four issues ongoing are listed in detail on the JOSHUA pages herein. The powerful experience of hosting visitors to the solitary confinement cell last month in Green Bay re-newed our commitment to reduction or elimination of this form of torture.
