JOSHUA acknowledges the ancestral homeland and traditional territories of Indigenous peoples who have been here since the time beyond memory or record, and we recognize the Ho-Chunk Nation and the Menominee Nation are the original First People of Wisconsin. We also recognize Oneida Nation people who currently call Brown County home.
We also acknowledge the initial and continued economic benefits that colonizers have gained due to the free, enslaved labor of Black people.
We recognize the historic and present violations of and systemic sins against people and our values, and in response, we commit to a long-term agenda that creates structural racial equity.
